How does the soot scrubber work?

How the AH 250 Soot Remover Works

The AH 250 soot remover from ETC Group SRL uses an efficient double-wash system to remove soot and impurities from the fumes produced by wood-fired ovens, stoves, biomass boilers, and other similar applications.

Here's how it works:

Fume extraction: The hot fumes loaded with soot are drawn inside the remover through the flue.

First wash: The fumes enter a washing chamber where they are sprayed with water. This first step removes most of the larger soot particles.

Second wash: The partially cleaned fumes pass into a second washing chamber where they are sprayed again with water, this time in a finer and more nebulized form. This second step removes the smaller soot particles and residual impurities.

Water separation: The water used for washing, now loaded with soot, is collected and separated from the cleaned fumes. The water can be disposed of in the sewage system or recycled, depending on the model and local regulations.

Expulsion of clean fumes: The fumes, now free of soot and impurities, are expelled from the remover at a temperature of about 50°C and saturated with water vapor.

Advantages of the AH 250 remover:

  • High efficiency: Removes up to 95% of carbonaceous particulate and suspended impurities.
  • Easy installation: Can be placed both indoors and outdoors.
  • Safety: Thanks to water operation, it prevents the risk of chimney fires.
  • Eco-friendly: Helps reduce air pollution and improve air quality.
  • Low maintenance: Requires simple and quick periodic cleaning.

The AH 250 soot remover is the ideal solution for keeping flues clean, respecting the environment, and improving the quality of the air we breathe.
