Etc Group S.r.l. has been producing ozone generators for the treatment of odors and grease since 2012.
The use of ozone is proposed as a replacement for the use of (toxic) disinfectant chemicals. It can also be proposed as an alternative to Quicklime. Treatment with quicklime can be toxic, caustic, and highly corrosive, and in reality, it is not even that effective against those pathogenic microorganisms. Furthermore, if combined with particular organic substances, the formation of trihalomethanes is obtained as a by-product, a toxic compound harmful to human health that has been proven to have a very high carcinogenic effect. Ozone has an oxidizing power 150 times greater than chlorine without having or producing harmful effects.
