Centrifugal Industrial Fans: 

The Core of Air Extraction and Filtration Systems

 

Centrifugal industrial fans are the fundamental component of air extraction systems for purification and filtration. These devices generate the necessary airflow to ensure the efficiency of aspiration systems across various industrial applications.

The UNI ISO 13349:2009 standard provides a precise technical definition of centrifugal industrial fans, specifying their characteristics, design criteria, and operational principles.

 

The effectiveness of ventilation is not solely determined by the direction of fan rotation but also by the correct configuration of the discharge outlet, the different construction types, and the motor positioning relative to the fan structure.

From an aerodynamic perspective, air enters the fan impeller in an axial direction and is discharged perpendicularly to the axis of rotation, ensuring efficient air movement and optimal management of flow rates and pressures within the extraction system.

Type of construction: Fe360 sheet metal fan, Fe360 impeller statically and dynamically balanced.

Operating data: Air intake conditions T=20°C, 0m.a.s.l. and ρ=1.205 kg/m3.

Noise level: Expressed in sound power L w A [dB(A)] measured in free field with ducted fan.

Orientations: No.8 RD (clockwise rotation viewed from drive side) and No.8 LG.

Fan in bolted adjustable version for sizes 250-630, fixed orientation for sizes 710-2000.
